graphics gale -- fakedex entries

If you're into making Fakemon, then you know that you need to make Pokedex entries for your Fakemon. Here's a guide on how to make an entry (D/P style) for your Fakedex.

The Template

This is the template for a Pokedex entry. Appreciate it, because I cleaned it up from a JPEG screenshot. :P This one is labeled, but if you want a blank one, you can find it here.

The Guide

Now, it's time to get the sprite. I'll use a pre-existing Pokemon for this, but I'll use a scratch sprite I made. I'm talking about Carnivine, of course. :D Now, center the sprite in the "PKMN Sprite" box. Here's what I have now:

Enter the Pokemon's name, number, and species in the indicated box. Species being, for example, electric rodent Pokemon for Pikachu...or plump mouse Pokemon for Bidoof. For this, you can use your own font or the game font. I'm using my own font, because it takes forever to copy and paste each letter. However, if you're making a professional Fakedex, then you might want to use the game font. Now I have this:

Next, I'm going to add the footprint and type label. Footprints are easy to scratch, so you shouldn't have a problem with that. If your Pokemon is a duel-type, then just place the second label directly beside the first (two pixels in between). I'm also going to fill in the height and weight.

All that's left now is the flavor text at the bottom. This is one of the fun parts, so once you've invented your fakemon's text, put it in the green box. This completes your Fakedex entry. Now you can make a whole Fakedex of...well, Fakemon. :D
