installing fonts

Are you stumped about how to install fonts onto your computer from the internet? It's not that complicated. If you're an Apple/Macintosh user, I can't help you, but for Windows I have the answer. First, find the font you'd like. Here are some cool sites for free, virus-free fonts:

Once you've picked a font, download it and extract the contents. (Go to File >> Extract) Then, open the folder that you've extracted. There should be a font file in there. It will have an icon similar to these:

There may be more than one file for the font, since some include bold, italic, and underline options. Highlight all of the files that have the icon similar to the ones above (use ctrl + click to highlight more than one) and press ctrl + c to copy them. Then, go to "My Computer", "then to Local Disk (C:)" and press ctrl + v to paste them there. Open up your control panel and click on the "Fonts" folder. Go to File >> Install New Fonts, and select the files you pasted in the "My Computer" file. Click OK. You will now have the font officially installed on your computer.
